WHAT IS AYURVEDA?
Ayurveda is the Science of Life, as expressed in the Ancient Vedic Tradition. It encompasses a lifestyle that supports Body, Mind, and Soul in the expectation of a 100-year lifespan.
This knowledge once spread to the Gypsies of Europe, the Greeks, the Tibetans, the Chinese, and the civilizations of the Middle East. The simplicity of these practices address the root cause of disease and prevent its development. Many practices are relatively pleasant and inexpensive, especially when compared to conventional medical treatments.
Modern Life makes us ill by ignoring that humans have not changed biologically in 10,000 years. The rishis observed these pressures with the advent of cities, creating the Dinacharya (Daily Routine). These habits have been in continuous practice for 5,000 years (not the same gals & guys--nice try!)
The other practices include the Ritucharya (Seasonal Routine), the Pancha Karma, Rasayanna, Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation. Surprisingly small changes over time can transform your Body and Mind.
Symptoms are addressed through lifestyle, diet, and occasionally need additional herbal supplements or therapeutic practices to support the restoration of health. My pursuit of certification stemmed from my desire to share the benefits of Ayurveda with people who want to take charge of their wellbeing.
